We understand that neurological disorders and brain injuries impact the entire family. Sargent offers support groups for adult clients and their spouses/family members, as well as for our day school parents and students' siblings. The groups are designed to provide education, technical assistance, and most importantly, a place to discuss concerns with people who are struggling with the same issues. Support groups are generally held once per month in the evening at the Center. Check back for new dates of our next brain injury support groups for 2012.
In addition to support groups, we offer a monthly Aphasia Conversation Group for adults impacted by language/communication issues. The purpose of the group is to provide a supportive meeting place for people with aphasia to socialize and share their communication challenges and strategies. For more information, please review the attached Aphasia Conversation Group flyer.
Lectures and seminars for parents of children with disabilities are also offered through our Link to Learning Program. Survivors of Brain Injury and their families can also receive valuable information through the Center's Brain Injury Education Series.
