Family Policy Compliance Office Director to present at

Sargent Center Regional Resource Center (RRC)

Dale King, Director of the U.S. Department of Education Family Policy Compliance Office which oversees implementation of FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) will present at the 2014 RRC Summer Leadership Institute July 31st at the RRC. Mr. King will provide a comprehensive overview of FERPA, Confidentiality and Privacy issues for schools followed by an interactive questions and answer session. His presentation will be followed by a presentation on concussions and minor brain injuries given by Rehabilitation Expert and Sargent Medical Director Dr. Jon Mukand. The Summer Leadership Institute is appropriate for school administrators, nurses, guidance professionals, teachers, service providers and athletic personnel.

To provide a presentation on concussion and minor brain injuries at the

Regional Resource Center 2014 Summer Leadership Institute December 4th 2014

Dr. Jon Mukand will conduct a presentation on concussion and minor brain injuries at the 2014 RRC Summer Leadership Institute on December 4th at the RRC. Dr. Mukand is the Medical Director for the Southern New England Rehabilitation Center and also serves as the Medical Director at Sargent Rehabilitation Center. Dr. Mukand will provide an in depth look at concussion and minor brain injuries as considerations for school personnel. With an increased awareness and presence of injuries to the brain becoming the focus of attention in schools, this session is certain to be popular with school administrators, nurses, teachers, guidance personnel, athletic staff and service providers.
